Total Payback will be released for Mercenaries 2: World in Flames on October 13 for the Xbox 360 and on October 20 on the PlayStation 3. This update will include six new playable characters, as well as new cheats for total payback power.

Mercenaries 2 Demo

For those who have been waiting on the sidelines, EA is preparing to release a Mercenaries 2 demo. The Xbox 360 version will be available on Xbox Live shortly. The PS3 version will be available on PlayStation Network with the weekly update, this Thursday.

To promote the launch of Mercenaries 2, EA plans to take over a gas station in Los Angeles and let people fill up for free. G4 reports that, beginning at 6AM on August 29th, motorists will be able to fill their tanks at no charge “until supply is out” as part of the Petrol to the People event.
